So I like to take photos...

Feb 17, 2024

All of the photos that you see on my website and socials are ones I have taken. The only ones not mine are the images I use for the courses.

I have been told that my eye for herbal photography creates heartwarming happy smiles when others see the pics. Some herbalists have even gotten me to make calendars over the years!

I hope you like the photos and if you want a print for your clinic or interested in a calendar for this year, send me a message.

Tell me which ones are your favourites!

Here are some of my faves...

This one is Merlin's Cave in Tintagel, Cornwall UK. I got up at the crack of dawn and made my way down to the beach. On this day, it had been 20 years since I had been home and this was my first meeting with Tintagel beach after all this time. The morning sun came over the hill and hit my back just when I touched the wall of Merlin's cave. I was enjoying the warmth of the sun and turned around to see this. Needless to say, it was a moment for me!

I love the reflection in this one. This is the bishops garden at Wells Cathedral, Wells, UK. These mineral springs come from underground channels that flow from the surrounding Mendip hills. They are so deep but so clear you can see the bottom. This herbal garden is beautiful and well kept.

This one got a lot of comments when I posted it on socials... Taken on the cliffs with the sun shining on the ocean from underneath the cloud that covered it from my view.

The colours and simplicity of this one shows the double umbel inflorescence very well. Herb nerds know.

And finally, a herbal photo I like. Dawn and dusk really are the best time to take herbal pics with atmosphere!
